Terms & Conditions
  1. Rates valid from January 1998.
  2. A deposit of R1000 to be payable.
  3. Renter and driver must possess an unendorsed, valid driver's licence that has been valid for a minimum of 7 years.
  4. Minimum age for Renter and Driver is 25 years.
  5. Rates are subject to change without prior notice and vehicles are hired subject to our Standard Form of Agreement.
  6. Rates include normal maintenance but not petrol.
  7. Rentals are based on a 24 hour rate.
  8. All fines received during hire are not for the account of RENT A CHEAPY
  9. Damaged or stolen tyres, rims, trims & windscreens will be replaced at the Renters expense.
  10. No vehicle may be taken across the South African borders without the prior written permission of RENT A CHEAPY Car Rental.
  11. All speedometers are sealed and if they are found to have been tampered with, a minimum charge of 1000 km/day will be charged, plus original kilometers driven. All discounted, special weekly, monthly and weekend rates will become null and void.
  12. In the unlikely event of a breakdown, renter must contact RENT A CHEAPY on cell 083-2910-217. RENT A CHEAPY Car Rental will not be responsible for hotel or other accommodation expenses.
  13. Renter is responsible for maintaining the vehicle during rental period by regularly checking oil, battery, water and tyres. RENT A CHEAPY Car Rental is only responsible for normal wear and tear.
  14. The renter will be liable for the full damage to - or loss of the vehicle in the event of an accident occuring where the vehicle has being driven by the renter or other authorized driver as nominated on the rental agreement.
  15. RENT A CHEAPY Car Rental reserves the right to terminate a rental agreement at any time at RENT A CHEAPY's discretion.
  16. RENT A CHEAPY Car Rental reserves the right to forfeit the deposit paid in the case of returning the vehicle later than arranged.
